WAH Foundation delivers clean, affordable drinking water to rural communities.  We install clean water systems in schools and orphanages, villages, hospitals and health centers, and places of worship. We take a bottom-up approach when planning community projects. We meet with community leaders, village heads, school headmasters, health center and hospital directors. Once projects are running we hold regular education and awareness programs.  WAH Foundation has a strong local team of 16 people working on the ground with local communities.

Community contribution and empowerment are vital. Stakeholders discuss best solutions for their needs. The face to face, grass roots level meetings encourage equality, dignity, friendship, and long term relationships. The community is required to contribute to the JV.  They are also required to assist with education, maintenance, and report on the impact on the community’s health.  Our aim is to make communities self-sustaining over the long term.

To date WAH Foundation has installed clean water systems in 157 schools, 40 health centers and 3 hospitals (covering the whole of Kampong Chhnang province medical healthcare), 24 villages, 2 orphanages, and 3 places of worship.  We plan to install clean water bicycle pump systems in all 549 schools in Kampong Chhnang province.
